Today’s my Bento

I put a snack in my bento because I had few side dishes.

❽ ほうれん草、人参、しめじ、厚揚げの炒め

Dagashi are traditional Japanese confections that are typically inexpensive and sold in small shops(dagashi-ya : Japanese candy stores that sell inexpensive snacks and sweets) .  Dagashi are not only a delicious snack, but they are also a part of Japanese culture. They are often associated with childhood memories and can evoke feelings of nostalgia.

Dagashi are typically very inexpensive, and they can be purchased for a few yen. You can buy it at the supermarket candy aisle. Though fewer in number, dagashiya can still be found here and there.

Popular:
  • Ramune : A carbonated candy that comes in a variety of flavors, such as grape, melon, and orange.
  • Umaibo : A corn puff snack that is flavored with cheese, salami, or chocolate.
  • Yotchan Ika :  A snack made from dried squid( surume ) that has been seasoned with a sweet and sour vinegar-based sauce.
  • Baby Star Ramen : A snack made from instant noodles. It is typically flavored with chicken or salt and is often eaten as a snack or appetizer. Baby Star Ramen was first introduced in 1958.
